Epworth HealthCare

Epworth HealthCare

Epworth HealthCare is Melbourne’s largest not-for-profit private hospital group, with four divisions:
Epworth Richmond
Epworth Eastern
Epworth Freemasons
Epworth Rehabilitation

Epworth is pleased with the position it holds in the Australian health industry, treating some 90,000 patients annually.

Established under the Act of Parliament in Victoria, Epworth HealthCare is dedicated to the care of its patients and achieving “Excellence, Everywhere, Every Day”.

Unlike a for profit hospital, which returns any profits to shareholders, surplus funds achieved by Epworth are re-invested into patient care. The result has been the creation of one of the most advanced medical and surgical services in Australia. We receive no funding from the Government and rely on the contribution of our service to the community, fair and reasonable compensation from private health care funds, and the generosity of those who support our work through charitable donations.

Epworth operates under the auspices of the Uniting Church of Australia, and is proud of its heritage. However, it supports religious independence and cares for patients from many religions and creeds without preference.
