Balloon Sunrise
Who would believe that a simple wicker basket, the whoosh of hot air burners and 200 years of history could leave such a spell on you, be it floating over the great city of Melbourne or the beautiful patchwork wine region of the Yarra Valley.
Balloon Sunrise is Australia's oldest professional hot air ballooning company.
Over the past 20 years, we have assembled a dedicated team to ensure the best ballooning experience available today, and have carried over 60,000 passengers. These majestic aircraft hark back to an unhurried era; yet offer the safest and most memorable sightseeing in today's world.
All flights include and are followed by a 5-star champagne breakfast at either the Langham Hotel in Melbourne or Balgownie Vineyard Resort and Spa located in the Yarra Valley.
When you fly in a hot air balloon it's a lot more fun to share the experience with someone else. The more people you share it with the more fun it is. So to encourage you, we offer discounts to groups of 6 or more.
Balloon Sunrise can create tailor-made corporate packages. The utmost attention to detail is paid to provide the right environment for your client and guests. Impress your staff and valued clients with the opportunity to start the day on a high note.

Getting Around in Melbourne
Melbourne International Airport is located 22km north west of the city - approximately 30 minutes drive via the Citylink Freeway. Both direct international and domestic flights arrive and depart from this airport using a single terminal complex. Transfers to the city from the airport are easily accessed. Taxis are available outside the terminal at ground floor level at a cost of approximately AU$ 45.00.
Alternatively, Skybus operates an airport to the City and return bus service. A return fare is AU$ 24.00 per person or AU$ 15.00 per person one way (at the time of printing). Buses depart every 20 minutes and drop off at city hotels in Melbourne.
The city's layout makes Melbourne an easy city to navigate, and almost everything is within walking distance - if it's not, you can simply hop aboard a train or tram. The closest train station to the Sofitel Melbourne is Parliament station and the tram stop is located on Collins Street in front of the main entrance of the Sofitel Melbourne.
